GE's Ralph Exton to Serve Third Term as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the Water Environment Federation

Exton Also Named to the Editorial Advisory Board for Water Technology Magazine and Advisory Board for the BlueTech Forum

 

NEW ORLEANS-September 26, 2016-For the third consecutive term, the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international organization of water quality professionals, has appointed GE’s Ralph Exton to serve as treasurer on the WEF board of trustees. He was first elected to WEF’s board of trustees in 2012, and his current term as treasurer is from September 2016 through September 2017.

Exton also recently was appointed to serve on the editorial advisory board for Water Technology magazine and on the advisory board for the BlueTech Forum. He has extensive experience in various leadership, business and international roles and has more than 29 years of advanced water treatment, water purification and reuse experience.

In his current role as the chief marketing officer-water and process technologies for GE Power, Exton provides strategic leadership and program direction for the business’ marketing activities and digital marketing efforts. He also is the business liason for the GE Experienced Leadership Program designed to attract, retain and grow a diverse and global population of future leaders for GE businesses.

Exton has held a number of roles in GE’s water business with increasing responsibility for commercial operations, business development, marketing and sales management.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the International Desalination Association, Water Reuse Association and Pennsylvania Water Environment Association.
