GE Capital Launches 2nd Annual Canadian Restaurant Investment Summit

GE Capital today announced that registration is open for the 2nd annual Canadian Restaurant Investment Summit ("CRIS") - an investment and economic conference to provide restaurateurs, lenders, and investors with resources, knowledge and perspective to help make better investment decisions. CRIS was launched in 2010 by GE Capital, in collaboration with Big Picture Conferences Inc., to address a recognized need for a forum to discuss investment-related matters in the restaurant industry, from a Canadian perspective.

MONTREAL, March 31 - GE Capital today announced that registration is open for the 2nd annual Canadian Restaurant Investment Summit ("CRIS") - an investment and economic conference to provide restaurateurs, lenders, and investors with resources, knowledge and perspective to help make better investment decisions. CRIS was launched in 2010 by GE Capital, in collaboration with Big Picture Conferences Inc., to address a recognized need for a forum to discuss investment-related matters in the restaurant industry, from a Canadian perspective.

This year's event will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Toronto. The event opens with a reception in the early evening of Wednesday, April 13, and the conference and workshops follow on Thursday, April 14. Agenda:
The 8:30AM plenary session brings to the forefront the economic perspective on the Canadian restaurant industry. Presentations are followed with an interactive on-stage discussion with Senior-level executives from four of Canada's best known restaurant companies: The Second Cup Ltd.; Boston Pizza; CARA Operations Limited; Moxie's Classic Grill. The 3:30PM plenary session brings Tom Gaglardi on stage in conversation with CBC's senior business correspondent Amanda Lang. Mr. Gaglardi, President of Northland Properties Corporation, Canada's largest family-owned hospitality group, will share his insights on challenges and opportunities facing Canadian restaurant owners/operators.

The program includes seven breakout sessions throughout the day on topics ranging from real estate to brand lifecycles to the Canadian lending environment. Each of these brings together renowned professionals in the industry, including Ivanhoe Cambridge, The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited; A&W Food Services of Canada Inc.; Yum! Restaurants International (Canada); Original Joe's Franchise Group Inc.; SIR Corp; and Prime Restaurants Inc., as well as many others.
