MISSISSAUGA, ON -- JANUARY 15, 2013 - Elyse Allan, President & CEO of GE Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Olivier as Vice President - Growth, Market Strategy and Business Development for GE Canada.
Simon will develop market positioning and drive growth for GE in Canada as well as seek acquisition, JV and partnership opportunities that will expand GE's global capabilities. Prior to joining GE's Global Growth Organization, Simon was General Manager -- Renewables for Canada and the Northeast USA and held several positions with GE Capital.
Simon holds an Engineering Degree from École Polythechnique and an MBA in Finance from McGill University, recently served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Wind Energy Association and the McGill Global Strategy and Leadership Expert Panel. In 2009, he received the "Young Business Leader of Quebec" award.
