Ethics in Business is Essential - These companies are well aware of it!
March 2016 - The aim of the “Ethical Company” contest is to distinguish companies that systematically engage in efforts to build and strengthen an organizational culture based on ethics and values, and show the highest activity in this area when compared to other companies in Poland.
It is both a great honor and motivation for further work to constantly evolve and become better. In addition, the competition plays an educational role by identifying areas where we can take future action related to the promotion and enforcement of ethical behavior in an organization - ethics applying to relationships with customers, colleagues and business partners.
Companies applying for the title of ‘Ethical Company’ had to pass analysis of their business and organizational processes relating to the structure of ethics’ management programs, supervision of top management, corporate governance, reputation, leadership and many other important factors.
This year 15 companies met the requirements, and did so with great results, and can now use the ‘Ethical company’ title. These companies are: ANG Spółdzielnia Doradców Kredytowych, ArcelorMittal Poland, BAMA LOGISTICS, Bank Handlowy w Warszawie, CEMEX Polska, EDF Polska, Fortum Power and Heat Polska, Grupa Raben, Janssen-Cilag Polska, Johnson & Johnson Poland, Orange Polska, PCC EXOL, PKO Bank Polski, Provident Polska and Siemens.
The winners operate according to the highest standards and are today’s true role models in business. I hope that others will follow in their footsteps, and that ethics will become one of the guiding principles for conducting business.
