Chief Communications Officer Deirdre Latour To Leave Ge

Linda Boff appointed interim head of communications while company conducts search

Boston, February 14, 2018 - GE (NYSE: GE) announced today that after 14 years of service, Vice President, Chief Communications Officer and Senior Advisor for GE, Deirdre Latour, will leave the company effective March 16, 2018 to pursue other opportunities. 

Latour joined GE in 2004 and held a series of communications roles in GE Corporate before being named Chief Communications Officer in April 2015 and promoted to Senior Advisor in October 2017. During her tenure at GE, Latour led the Company’s communications during a time of unprecedented change in the company and in the world.  GE’s evolution into a digital industrial company was narrated by a strategic communications program created and executed by Latour and her team. Latour also led the communications efforts for the CEO succession process and built a stronger global external relations capacity around the world.

Deirdre Latour said, “Being a member of the GE team for the past 14 years has been an awesome experience for me that gave me the opportunity to work on fascinating projects with innovative teams all over the world.  The strength of GE is its people and I look forward to watching John and the team’s future successes.  I am excited to pursue new professional challenges and new adventures in life.”
