Company to Provide Fuel until the End of Plant’s Life- Bringing Industry-Leading Reliability and Quality During This Important Time
WILMINGTON, NC-Sept. 30, 2014- GNF ENUSA Nuclear Fuel S.A. (GENUSA) today announced that it has been selected by RWE and E.ON to provide fuel reloads for Unit C of the Gundremmingen nuclear power station in Gundremmingen, Germany. The three reloads and options for two more included in the agreement will potentially provide fuel to the plant during its remaining lifetime.
GENUSA previously provided fuel to Gundremmingen Unit C, having delivered about 1,100 fuel bundles since 1998 with excellent performance. GENUSA was selected for these reloads because of its industry-leading reliability, experience and quality.

The GNF2 high performance fuel assembly is designed to deliver increased energy output while decreasing overall fuel cycle costs. GNF2's advanced design saves utilities money by reducing the total amount of uranium and the average enrichment in fuel reloads.
