Paris, Feb 16th, 2017 - GE Renewable Energy recently announced the creation of Renewable Energy Services Business, a new horizontal initiative that will work with the Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind and Hydropower businesses to provide more customer value and integrated solutions for the industry.

Anne McEntee is named VP, Renewable Energy Services Business. In this newly created position, McEntee will be working closely with each GE Renewable Energy service organization, as well as the Digital team, to improve GE’s capabilities. The ultimate goal being to expand service agreements and explore new OEM services, while creating new value for customers and more productivity for the business. Prior to this role, McEntee led the Onshore Wind business, a role she held since 2013, and also held the role of CEO of Flow and Process Technologies and Power Services.

Pete McCabe will succeed McEntee as President and CEO of Onshore Wind. McCabe is a 22-year veteran of GE and a GE Company Officer, most recently serving as the Vice President of Global Services Organization (GSO). GSO is a $2.2 billion unit of GE Transportation committed to improving critical customer outcomes.

Jérôme Pécresse, President and CEO GE Renewable Energy said, “The creation of a Services offering is critical for our business to be even smarter, more efficient and faster. I am confident that under Anne’s leadership our dedicated service business will continue to grow and I know that Pete, with his strategic problem-solving and willingness to embrace disruptive technology, is well suited to keep our Onshore Wind business on this positive track.”

GE Renewable Energy’s Onshore Wind business saw record orders in 2016 and reached a milestone of installing 57 GW of onshore wind turbines across the globe in April. GE’s global wind footprint now extends to more than 35 countries worldwide. Last year, the business implemented a platform product management strategy and launched the Digital Wind Farm, a hardware and software solution that optimizes wind farm performance.
